Awesome :) But from the looks of it, the emulator doesnt quite like the game.

Must be in NullDC? Anyway, that looks amazing! I can't believe that something this polished just slipped through the cracks. Thanks for showing it to us in glorious HD! XD

Such a fantastic looking game. You can tell this is an earlier build than that featured in the official promotion videos not only by the HUD graphics but also the Saturn like transpanacies over polygons issue. Saturn games are well known for when you place a translucent sprite over a polygon, that polygon will disappear. This build features the exactly same issue. makes you wonder if the programming routines used in this build are the same ones Sega used to produce translucent sprites in Saturn games.

EDIT - Just read the posts above and it seems this missing polygon issue is due to emulation. I thought you were running the game on real hardware :)

@Yakumo, this is the final build of Geist Force (As told by Monkfish). So the footage as seen in the official promotion videos are most probally of an older build.

This is just impressive, i hope it is as playable as it is beautiful ! However the game seems running quite slow, is that due to the emulation, or is the real speed ?

Yes. It was the poor emulation that lead me to believe it was an earlier build.

I don't think its all down to poor emulation per se. nullDC dos struggle with some things and a play with the settings can resolve many issues, but the slowdown for example: I think it is because ASSEMbler is raping his system too hard.

If we look at YouTube the video is 1080p and the game is occupying most of the screen, which leads me to believe frst off it is being emulated above the standard 640 x 480 to give a better quality video which will tax his system more. Also the fraps or whatever process itself can be quite taxing and the two together can result in slowdown.

Hey and if you have more time, try other emulators, like makaron that is less buggy than Nulldc.

Thanks, is a shame that SEGA has cancelled this game :-0
