General Sale: Random games.

Discussion in 'The ASSEMblergames Marketplace' started by Greatsaintlouis, Jan 9, 2005.

  1. Okay, I'm tight for a bit of cash right now, so it's time to get rid of some of my seldom-used stuff. Hopefully they are things people want to buy... :-( Prices aren't too negotiable, I will ship nearly everywhere if you can afford it. PM or post for further details. My digital camera sucks, but if you REALLY need a picture, I could possibly take one.

EDIT: Added some new stuff, removed the FZ-35S - it's more use to me if I take out the 20GB harddrive and put it in my PC. :smt043

    Street Fighter Alpha 3 NTSC/UC Dreamcast - $7
Picked this up at the local ripoff game shop (bastards have a policy against taking discs that have been ran through a resurfacing machine - but they can sell them that way just fine) to find that it had some pretty bad scratches on the back, and one through the top of the disc which I suspect renders it unplayable. Upon playing, a first round went off without a hitch, but it froze upon loading the second round. Good if you have a copy of the game with no instruction manual or inserts, or if you are a necromancer with regard to dead games.

Square Enix Sampler Disc Volume Two: Front Mission 4, Skygunner Demo CD - $5 each or both for $8
NTSC PS2 demo discs. The Front Mission 4 and Skygunner both come in a printed cardboard sleeve.

    Full Throttle Macintosh CD-ROM - $15
One of the classic Lucasarts graphic adventures. I was overjoyed to find it for my PC at the ripoff shop mentioned above, and thought nothing of the "No Return" sticker on the top of it until I got home and opened the shrinkwrap to find... a Macintosh disc. Hopefully there's some Lucasarts fans with a Mac out there...

    Dreamcast Jet Coaster Dream 2 - $30
I got the game new, but have never played it, merely took it out of the shrinkwrap. The game disk, inserts, and spinecard are all immaculate.

Dreamcast Eternal Arcadia Limited Edition - $85
This is the limited Japanese box set release of Eternal Arcadia (Skies Of Arcadia in the US/Europe) that includes the game, Eternal Arcadia artbook, wrist strap, Blue Rogues bandanna, and cell phone strap with three characters that clip on. Everything is in great condition - they game was never played, the box is a teeny bit beat up around the edges, but nothing bad at all.

    Virtua Fighter 3TB w/Project Berkely disc - $15
Japanese Dreamcast release with the Shenmue preview disc. No spine card, and a tiny crack in the front case, but otherwise the game is minty.

    Dreamcast Air - $10
Random visual novel-looking thingie (possibly H-game?) that was thrown in with a batch of Dreamcast games I got a while ago. Aside from the shrinkwrap being opened, the game is new.

    DTL-H2010 PSX Development CD-ROM drive - $20
I can't tell you if it works, as my PC doesn't have SCSI to test. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't, though. Please, give it a good home where it will be used and well-loved.

Re: General Sale: FZ-35S, PAL Jaguar, random games.

I'd be interested in this, but I assume that the 60Hz mod would mean that it'd look just as glitchy on a PAL through RF as my current NTSC Jaguar.

.. unless you've got a Jaguar Composite/AV cable you want to get rid of.. :smt045 My TV takes NTSC fine, as long as it's not through RF..

  3. I do have an A/V composite cable, but it's being used by my current Jaguar right now, and is not for sale, sorry.

As far as things looking glitchy, it all depends on your TV. Most recently made PAL TVs have support for both 50 and 60hz (60 obviously gives you a smoother picture). So if your NTSC Jaguar suffers from a rolling screen, then you most likely only have a TV capable of 50Hz, but if the vertical hold is alright and the colors/aspect ratio of the display are what's screwed, then your TV is displaying the 60Hz signal properly, but doesn't like the NTSC format. You might want to check your television's manual and see if 60Hz is supported.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot. Just as a note - since the machine is a PAL unit, it doesn't have a RF hookup on the back - just the large connector for a composite or SCART lead.

The TV handles 60Hz with no issues whatsoever and only has troubles with non-PAL consoles when trying to run them through RF. All my US and Japanese consoles running through composite/svideo/etc have no issues, and I run in 60Hz mode in all my modern consoles. The Jag is the only NTSC console I have that I have to run through RF due to lack of the appropriate cable.

Ahh well, I'll continue to hunt on ebay. Thanks all the same.

That's odd, my PAL Jaguar had an RF out, but through an RCA connector, just like the Megadrive/NES.

  7. Yeah, that's the way my US one is, but the PAL unit I have doesn't have the RCA plug - there isn't even a hole for it in the back of the case! When I opened the unit to do the 60Hz mod, there was a large blank spot on the PCB where the RF equipment would have gone.

Wombat: I'll send you an e-mail later today after I look up the shipping costs.

GSL, sorry for going OT on your thread...

Craig, do you not have SCART in Australia? Go RGB, its the best solution.

RGB / composite leads can be obtained on eBay, myatari.com, telegames.co.uk (maybe .com too) - in fact, go to the Atari Age forum and ask where is the best place to go for one - someone might know somewhere over there.

  9. No problem, but now you have to buy something. :smt043

We do have SCART on some TVs, but not on mine. Mine supports component, svideo and composite.

I've been looking at getting a composite lead for a while but never got around to it. Usually the few times I remember to look for one, there are none going on eBay.

Someone tipped me of on Telegames a little while back, but unfortunately they don't do internet transactions, only phone or fax stuff which is pretty much useless in Australia. I doubt my work would like me faxing the UK.. :)

  11. New things posted again... I think this is my last try. :smt009
