    Hi people,

I am looking for documentation on the rom chips that are used in genesis cartridges to hold the game itself. I have found many pinouts for the cart, which is great, but I need to know more about how you interface the rom and timings etc. A manufacturer datasheet would be ideal.

    Cheers

A 2 MByte game can be a TC5316200AP or an equivalent from other manufacturers

Genesis MaskROMs are equivalent to standard 16bit EPROMs. Reading them is the same as reading a standard EPROM of the same size. I'm not certain on the required speed for the ROM to keep up with the Genesis. But they are nothing special, pretty much stock/standard parts.
