Hello. Does someone had information about this? It V-Jump 94 Festa VHS tape (July 28, 1994) and apparently there is few minutes of Suikoden gameplay presentation on it. I have googled but its hard to find more information. Only V-Jump video from this tape that is online is Chrono Trigger V-Jump 94 Presentation. Its possible that this is from beta version of game, maybe with different content. Maybe this early PSX Suikoden version has a lot of differences in comparision to final retail version? Original japanese release date for Genso Suikoden was summer 1995! For some unknown reason the game was delayed. On December 15, 1995 - Genso Suikoden was released in Japan.
seems normal animation on VHS with mix of "Dragon Ball Z" and "Arale" and some other... but try to google on google.co.jp with this... Vジャンプ (original name/title) Vフェス'94 (and number of the VHS volume) hope you can found something...
It's pretty cheap on Yahoo Auctions right now: http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f96928629
I've got that full set of tapes - and that's my YouTube account ;D I did a set of full encodes of the full set of tapes, but I can't for the love of me remember where I stored them. Right now, I don't have a ripping software solution set up that lets me redo that real quick and dirty with proper quality, but I guess something can be arranged for the Suikoden piece (iirc, it's right past the middle of the tape)
Oh thats nice to hear Do you remember how long is Suikoden video? Also can you tell me is Suikoden on V-Jump 95 VHS?
that suikoden picture i have never seen in the game... maybe it was just flashed at you or my memory fades
I have the VHS footage digitized and at 60fps, at my blog : http://www.thegameinformant.com/201...p-and-different-PSone-controller-buttons.html. Plus, we can see a preliminary version of the standard PS controller.
Sure thing. Actually if I recall correctly, a few years ago you asked all over the place for info on this proto to no avail. I kept that in mind as I was digitizing the footage. Patience is a virtue. Btw, where did you got the July 28 date from? If this date is correct, that means that all the other games showcased can be dated in their own development chronologies. The earliest point in Chrono Trigger's unveiling would be that date, for example.
That's pretty cool. Thanks for putting it up! It always amused me that Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama actually devised Suikoden II's storyline first (for the unreleased Konami console) but then made the original game because it was easier. You can kinda tell in how short the first Suikoden is compared to the second.
Thanks. Lots of characters portraits are different, especially gremio. The battle with barbarossa is totally different too. Same for the spells. Some unreleased music too. Actually a lot of cool stuff. This would be a a beta that would really show a lot of interesting differences. Oh and the start screen is amazing too
