So I got a debug xbox in today...It has an administrator password so I can't get let it get access to my xbox neighborhood. How can I disable the password?

You'll have to use a Recovery CD to reset it, that's the only way, unless you can figure out the password.

Just a warning, but if there's anything on the debug xbox, then it will be erased.

I can't go under tools and select "restore to factory state"?

I don't have the xbox1 sdk installed right now, or i would try it, and tell you if it works for sure.

You could try it, but I'm pretty sure that it only deletes the files/games that are on there.

Well just use the remote recovery or the recovery disc.If you want to gain ftp access before you recover than patch Avalaunch to debug, burn to disc and grab what you need.

I'd just try and guess the password. Start with mythological creatures. That'd be your best bet. :)

Actually you can boot the xbox 1 and then connect to it via xbox neighborhood, then reboot it with a recovery disc in, since it boots the recovery dics xbdm you can now edit the xbdm.ini located on the HDD and erase the password.

um, no. Read first post. It won't let you add an Xbox to Xbox Neighborhood without the Administrator password.

um, so... I used this method many times at the studio where I worked. If you can't initially add the xbox to neighborhood then you will need to make sure there is a DHCP server on the network and a way to find what IP was assigned to the xbox after booting a recovery disc. You don't need to do anything but boot the recovery disc and then you'll be able to access the xbox through xbox neighborhood and edit the xbdm.ini.
