    Hey all!

I am the new owner of a used Tool DTL-10000 (working!) I am trying to fix it up to sell as I am not a developer and while a computer enthusiast, simply can't find a use for a Tool. I do have a few questions about the Tool starting with the USB connection. I read that the front connectors only work with Sony branded devices and if that's the case, what is the best way to connect to the device or use a third party keyboard?

    Thanks!

The front USB connectors work only on the PS2 side of the Tool, they are the same as the USB ports on a retail PS2, for them to work you have to run a PS2 software/game that can use USB devices such as keyboard/mouse/usb flash memory/eyetoy/printer/mic/joystick/modem/network adapter.

If you want to control the PC side of the Tool, there's a PS/2 adapter in the back, probably behind a little metal plate near the network connector, unscrew the metal plate and bingo, serial port, one or two ps/2 port and a VGA connector are there for you to use.

    And welcome to the forums!
