Hi!! I have a GG which was working fine after I replaced all mobo caps - But now it won't work unless brightness is down, and when it goes up it powers off instantly: This happens on battery and AC adaptor. Anyone have any clue what causes this? All caps replaced on: Mobo, Sound Board and Power board all in correct orientation too.
Awww.. No love! I've had a thought - Replace the backlight with LEDs, this could remove the faulty voltage hardware? Never hurts to try!
Hmm, I would run the power brick on a multimeter, I bet it's internal ac-dc is failing and the voltage is low or not able to deliver rated amperage. Use a new, universal psu and get back to us.
I had a fault like this i removed the LCD screen and put it in a good PCB hard work but worth it. I have had this fault a few times still can't find it out.
