This isn't that bad. Saw a buffy forum where the same few people have been posting on day in day out since 1997 or something. They even band together and pay server/domain fees and still post to this day.
Theres also a mmorpg called "worlds online" or something like that. Almost completely inactive aside from a few players and yet somehow the company running it pays for all the hosting fees.
