Girl Gaming Clans: Reverse Sexism is OK!

Am I the only one getting tired of "CLAN FOXY", "THE FRAG DOLLS" and "CLAN PMS" which parade themselves around talking about how much better they are than guys?

Just play the fucking games.

To be part of the "FRAG DOLLS" you can't just try out, you gotta send in some "HEADSHOTS" and not just the kind that get you a higher Kill to Death ratio in an FPS.

And Clan PMS stands for "PSYCHO MEN KILLERS".

You make a team "TEAM PSYCHO WOMEN SLAYERS" and try to go to a tournament and you'll be denied for having an offensive misogynistic team name.

I'm getting...really...sick...and tired of this crap. Luckily it seems it's on the downhill but regardless...

Now that online gaming is so prevalent, its only a matter of time before cliquish high school girls get involved with such silliness.

Would you really want to be involved or play against such idiots anyway? This is one of the reasons I avoid online, besides the fact that I enjoy the personal challenge against a computer more then trying to prove to a 13 year old in Wisconsin I'm better at a game then he is.

 

Luckily, I never was into FPSing. neither online nor offline.

 

I find this stuff pretty easy to ignore. I have no desire whatsoever to join a video game clan. The whole thing seems like a waste of time, really.

If I want to play a FPS, I can go online, join a server and play. Theres always other like minded, regular people to play with. Call me selfish, but I don't think joining a clan would enhance that experience at all.

The only time I feel compelled to call out to other game people is when my area of interest is so small that I have to reach out to others to find people to enjoy games with. So, I come here to talk about obscure junk. Other places to talk about other things that interest me. If I want to play games locally that few other people care about, I reach out to the few people in my area that share my interest. I appreciate these groups much more.

FPS clans or MMO clans? I could care less. Any person that was in my clan could be easily replaced by any of the other billion schmoes who play the same game. It seems like these clans are just exclusive for the sake of exclusivity.

Really? Never? Not even for a brief time? Not even a little Doom in the mid 90s?

Over time I've gotten to the point where I pretty much only care about arcade games (truly the purest and best form of game----twitchy skill, short time commitment, most titles are decent), but you're missing out on some real gems by never playing first person shooters.

I generally ignore the glut of FPS games out there, but there are some real gems out there that can hold their own with any of the greats of other genres. Half Life 1 & 2, Halo (1st one only, in my opinion), Doom (for the love of god, Doom!). All of those offer an amazing single player experience...as well as decent multiplayer as well.

 

I'm not in a clan, and never seriously got into "CLANS". I did however, have teams of players. Most FPS games have a competetive scene around them, specifically speaking the Halo and Counter-Strike games. Halo was never really about "CLANS". There were Clans in Halo 2 but they were forgotten about quickly infavor of the MLG circuit teams. Clans were pretty much nonexistant in Counter-Strike, instead they focused on teams competeing in the CPL.

The Quake and Unreal series had plenty of clans, and clans are all forgotten about in most games that are played today. The Frag dolls are nothing more than a way to advertise Ubisoft shooters.

But it's the idea and concept that this is accepted, this inverted sexism is perfectly ok in our societies not just the video game culture. A Feminist is by all means just a revolutionary in most eyes, a man who views themselves as higher than women however, is "stuck in the past". It's not easy to ignore, it's more than just video games.

Frag Dolls are a clan made by Ubisoft to advertise their games, clan PMS is another "big clan" of this type.

 

Since when did ubisoft make a decent online fps?

 

Since the Tom Clancy GRAW and Rainbow Six Vegas series hit the xbox.

 

RB6: Raven shield running on the UT2k3 engine was the first great RB6 game, imo.

Ok ok, I'll give the Xbox those two, they were good.

CS has people who own servers, that sometimes have a small community behind them, which sometimes has a clan (or at least regular users who wear a tag) that occasionally scrims with other clans in order to get better and therefore do less worse at CPL and such.


I used to play 60-80 hours of CS every two weeks. A lot of this was at work, in my office (which got taken away from me because they hired someone who "needed it more") (XD). Whenever there was a female (like, not obviously a little boy kid) playing, instinct would kick in and I would protect her a bit, either on my team or not try so hard if on the opposing team. It sucks. UNLESS she's a bitch, then I'll fucking destroy that shit.
As the thread brings up, a girl saying she's awesome because she's good at something AND is also a girl, is no different than a guy saying the same thing, the latter of which is just stupid. I want to play my video game to the point where I forget the fact that I'm "killing people" online and just mastering the motions to grant a self-induced-hardon. And/or be better than everyone else at moving my left hand fingers and right hand wrist/index finger. I don't care who's head I'm clicking on.

 

Only the Frag Dolls are. the rest, Team Foxy, Clan PMS, and others aren't.

It's just obnoxious to hear them in post game when they lose, they bitch and scream about girl power. you win against them, they bitch and scream about girl power.

On xbox live it's not as easy as "switching servers" you find out AFTER that. You get paired against them, and almost every fucking time I've played it, they pull the girl thing and send messages about it after wards

Personally, the grammar impaired 13 year olds are a lot more annoying when playing online... OMG WTF LOL BBQ U IZ TEH DEAD! remarks and getting team killed all the time... sigh....

 

It's ok, let's face it, women who are good in bed rarely play any video games or are good at them.

Women, just like most people, animals, kids, etc, must be ignored when they start becoming irritating. Not giving a fuck is awesome.

Well, good sir, I'm 13 and I write like a normal person. I hate texting because of that kind of writing. Why can't they just take out the time to spell out a few words? Goddammit, I'm ashamed of my own generation again...

 

Best way to deal with this is to get a really sexist handle like "barefootnpregnant," "impregnator," "pimpmaster," "blowjobcollector," or something, then repeatedly pwn them over and over and over, to the point where it's just utter humliation. Do evil shit like snipe them right when they spawn, put mines around the spawning point, suicide bomb them, etc. Each time you kill one of them say "Make me a sandwich, bitch," or "You're better seen, not heard." Use anger as a weapon.

Then when they try to ban you, use the "I'll treat you with respect if you treat me with respect line."

Or you could try to make your own all-girl clan, but each time someone tries to join reject them for being "too ugly." You know, subvert them from the inside.

Fuck that shit. You want to play with the MEN, baby? Then time to knock that damsel in distress shit off. I don't make no excuses for nobody.

 

In FPS games there seem to be a whole lot more dumb people/little kids playing online than any other genre, so that explains pretty much everything.

Of course, I got my first Xbox Live hatemail today while playing the Turtles in Time remake so... :lol:

Don't give out what you can't receive. If you don't like it, don't play the game. If you want people to treat you equally, then you need to play by the same rules. No special treatment.
