there were parts that were good but others were terrible. Pendulum showed up and played 5 songs. None were from ''Hold your colour''.

Just got back having had an awesome time...

I think the TV coverage was pretty shocking this year though so I can understand why people would think poor of it my highlights were as follows (in approx order):

    Top Shelve Jazz
    Wu Tang
    BB King
    DJ Yoda
    Pulp(!?!)
    Cassette Boy
    Don McLean
    Paul Simon
    Imelda May
Getting hammered in Arcadia and Shangri la

The TV coverage was dire. The levels were constantly off and you could barely hear some of the singers. They seemed to focus way too much on the advertised bands, and didn't advertise what smaller bands they'd feature. In the past, you used to get say 2 or 3 songs from a big act, then they'd go to a smaller act and have one song, and so on. Throw in coverage of the weird and wonderful, and there's a good show. Now they have BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, Red Button and Radio 6 covering it, it's got a lot worse!!

The BBC didn't seem to bother covering half of the stages - they don't even list them on their site. Did they even have any footage of Imelda May this year? They've had her on their little stage each year, and last year she did two sets, whereas this year she did the one set on the acoustic stage, which didn't even have TV coverage.

From what I've seen of Radiohead's set, it was an absolute blinder - not to mention historic for being their first official show with a second drummer! Of course, you won't see this on the BBC because of its policy against filming anything but the larger stages (also, I believe there's an agreement with the band that prevented their performance from being recorded, although some footage taken by the crowd has fortunately surfaced online for those of us who for whatever reason couldn't make it in person). Then again, I guess it may also have something to do with the BBC owning exclusive rights to their latest From The Basement session, which is still under media embargo until this Friday. Is anyone else looking forward to this? I'm especially anticipating this one as it will be first time we'll get to hear their new album played live in full, plus a few other new tracks. Also, it will hopefully provide us all a better chance to see what their latest addition can offer to the mix. As a massive fan, I really can't wait...

A festival on farmland? Never heard of it. Here in Italy you'd get a festival on the seaside. No offense but I prefer the last option. :p

Had no idea you lot got TV footage too via BBC.

I know I'm old when I look at who's playing in town and I don't know any of them :)
