I've recently got a new Famicom and wanted to AV mod it. But something went/is wrong as I get a very glitchy screen (sometimes scrolling, sometimes black and white and scrolling, sometimes color but not always the good colors, etc.) and a very noticable buzz over the audio. And I know my TV can do 60hz.

I've used this mod: kyuusaku.gif but instead of the regular rca ports I've used a female stereo jack.

I've noticed if I fiddle with the RCA plugs in the TV I can get slightly better picture. But still not a good one. I've checked that cable for continuity but it seems fine and used contact spray but no luck...

How would I be able to fix it?

I think they said not to use that diagram in another thread. Did you find another schematic?

Yea, but I dont think they told not to use it. But apart from that I've found the problem, it was the everdrive (as it is the only thing I could test it with) that was acting up as I got almost identical problems on my PAL NES.

I used this schematic on my Famicom and the picture looks great...

Fun fact: just because it works for TV x, y, and z doesn't mean it'll work on TVs a, b, and c.

I've found this out personally with some circuits for S-Video mods. Ditch it and try another.

That's the same circuit found in the AV Famicom and the same one I use for my top loader AV mods. Out of all the AV mods I've done, I've never had a single complaint about it not working on someone's TV, so I think something's up with the way the OP installed it.

Out of interest, did you use a NPN or PNP transistor? I installed the wrong one in one of my AV Fami mods and swapping it over fixed it. It didn't fix that I felt a bit stupid, but at least the video output worked!

Like I said earlier I think I found the problem, the everdrive as it has similar problems on my pal nes and that hasn't got issues otherwise. And I haven't got something else to test the Famicom.
Apart from that it are the same parts as I used in another Famicom.

I just jumped the gun with thinking it was the Famicom.
