Speaking of that, what are some good alternatives to godaddy? seen a bunch of other registrars and they were even shadier

GoDaddy has been fine for me but then again I don't have heavy traffic sites. For a $10 domain registration they're not bad. I actually screwed up when I made the purchase and I called customer service and the guy was intelligent and walked me through the fix in just a few minutes. Overall no complaints for storage use. I didn't actually go there to buy PopeSuperMario, I went there to buy something else and decided to have some fun.

 

Hover has treated me pretty well. I have 2 domains registered through them and no complaints.

Never tried GoDaddy though so I'm not sure how they compare.

 

When the CEO went big-game hunting (elephant if I recall?) I wrote them off. I think he stepped down since then though.
