Is it normal for this to happen? I just died on E2 M4 of Doom on hey not too rough difficulty after 3 or so years from last playing. A game I once(although barely) beat on Nightmare. Genuinely feel like offing myself.
It depends on the game, imo. If I boot Sega Rally right now I think I can beat one of my hard achieved records. But in Street Fighter I'll need a couple of fights to get the moves working. n.n For games with a "story", I just can't play without reading the manual first. Feels so incomplete...
When palying old games, my biggest issue are the controls. The other day I tried to replay System Shock 1, not only the visible area is small, but the way you control the character is really akward compared to the modern WASD+Mouse interface, I just couldn't get into it. I stopped playing and just watched some gameplay videos in YouTube.
This always happens to me with FPS's. I'm scared to play Halo right now... I don't like getting destroyed online.
After having played CS 1.6 for years on PC I began playing COD4 on Xbox 360. The amount of times I got accused of hacking for destroying fully upgraded 50 prestigers with my iron sights. Heh, far too easy for somebody who played games on PC.
i always find when i go back im never as good mostly FPS, odly when i got back to rockband i was better.. dont know how the fuck that works
It's because , CS is the most hardcore shooter ever made. I can just imagine you shredding some console gamers who don't think that level of skill is possible. -adrianc
I didnt find PC (Keyboard + Mouse) -> Console (pad) translated very well. You are too used to being able to spin fast and aim accurately - both of which you cant do on a console with a pad.
I'd always been pretty mediocre at CS, Every game I'd get a few more kills than I did deaths, I go to Call of Duty and I found it so much easier. Went back to CS and blew ass at it after that though.
I had this aswell, first got guitar hero, couldn't do it at all, went back to it a year later and I could five star songs easily.
I've been playing Guitar Hero and more recently the Rock Band games for years and I'm still shit at them, just can't make the transition from Medium to Hard. My 20 year old son on the other hand pisses through 95% of the songs on expert. Show off little bastard
Super C. I destroyed that game when I was young, then our copy stopped working. I finally got a replacement about a year ago and got my ass handed to me. Over and over. took me quite a while to come close to my old achievements.
