Thanks for the new info!. I went to Akiba the Monday and some shops have closed/changed, like the main Softmap, and I've seen less things than the last year. Also played Otomedius at Hey, and didn't liked it too much. A thing that surprises me are the new surveillance stickers at the metro, and some men with ¿"on alert"? armbands, what's happening?

    Not as goo
d looking as those screen shots we were shown a while back, that's for sure! Also it is really sluggish to play. I had a game on it today and was not impressed:-( It plays like Street Fighter but there seems to be a pause before the press of the button does anything on screen. More play is needed but I'm not impressed. The blocky textures as the camera pans really close to the fighters just blew away any high end images I had in mind.

I guess that I'll keep playing SFA3... :katamari:

One of the first things I'll do if I ever go to Japan is do a quick play of a Densha de GO! machine!

For me isn't as bad as I spected, the only time that i've played it alone, found that the playable core is almost the same as it was on SFIII, but I've seen that some characters are cheap, like Honda, for example, played with Chun Li against some dude playing with him, and he kicked my ass because his Honda was faster than my Chun Li . I decided to watch people playin it, and leave my yen for Death Smiles.

The last time I played it I had some cheesy twat going Sagat against me. Tiger, Tiger, Tiger is all you could bloody hear. Man, I hate players like that. I wanted to thump the cheating sod for real.

Well, a thing that I don't like is that you have to play against someone yes or yes, is totally annoying, ask me before screw up my play, I want to test the game, not to get my ass kicked by a salaryman

offtopic: yakumo you use a 5.1 headphones if I remeber well, which ones?, because I want to buy ones, but I don't have too many references of some japanese models.

I'm using a pair of Pioneer ones that have XBOX printed on them  The model number of the base is TRE-XB1 and the phones are SE-XHP1. Of course you can use any headphones with the docking station that support the same wireless technology including other brands plus you can also use the good old wired up ones. The headphones that come with it are not the greatest in the world BUT they do give a good surround effect, feel comfortable and have good dynamics. The base can decode DTS, Dolby Digital Surround 5.1 or any other Dolby Surround source such as the analogue track from Super Famicom games that support Dolby.

There are also a few DSP settings on it however I thing they sound like crap. They just make stuff echo. For the price you can find these (I paid 12'000 yen brand new mint in box) you really can't complain. I'm well happy with mine. Watch DVDs via the digital in and the Wii and anything below is connected via the analogue port. Playing Fatal Frame 4 with these one really does make you crap your pants  I'm currently playing Speed Racer on the Wii with them. You really do get dragged in to the action more that if I have the sound going through the stereo.

Yeah SF players can be gits! Seeing as there are so many "cheap" tactics in the game, everyone seems to have no problem is using them. The idea being that you do everything you can to win. SF players can be really stuck up sometimes, they fail to acknowledge that how they play in any other game would be "cheap".

At the end of the day, for me a good SF player is someone who can perform the same move, with perfect timing every single time. Not my idea of fun.

SFIV is just SFII with some fugly awful graphics. And I played the hell out of SFII too long ago.

Thanks Yakumo! I was looking for the high end model of Pioneer (the SE-DRS3000C, but i'll check yours. Also I have to buy Project Zero 4, and maybe, Captain Rainbow, but I don't know if it's my kind of game.

Today I saw Melt Banana, and don't know why japanese people like more a regular band from USA than Melt Banana, they're fucking amaizing!, also surprised me that nobody moves at the show, I thought that at Barcelona people were statues, but here is even worse XD

PD: I want a candy cab and Death Smiles PCB!

Yeah, that Captain Rainbow looks turd. have you noticed that none of Nintendo's games are ever impressive from a graphical point of view. Well maybe apart from Zelda but that's also on the Cube.

My next Wii buys will be Tenchu 4 (looks very nice) and The Sky Crawlers Innocent Aces in October. There's bugger all out this month worth getting. I hope November and December bring in some great titles.

Given that it runs to about $2000 you might want to wait until next year when it looks like it might get released on the Xbox 360.

Price has dropped considerably. Very easy to find below $1000. I sold one $950 shipped to Europe last week. The candy cab... well, you just have to get lucky.

Also worth noting that Cave's track record of porting their own games of recent is absolutely horrible.

Hi people, I have a problem, with oh, surprise! an Xbox 360. I bought it yesterday, came to the apartment, and voilá, the fucking machine doesn't outputs image, only sound. I thought that was the TV, but one of the guys of reception brought a DVD and it worked without any problem. So need that someone translates the following, to check if i've written it correctly:

"I bought this console Tuesday, and when I arrived at the Hotel, it didn't worked, only outputs sound, no image; could you check it here to see if its a problem of the TV or it's the console or the cable? because i'm on vacation and don't know anybody with other TV to check it"

    Thanks!

Are you taking it back to the store? Not perfect, but it will do. Also, you can have the concierge from your hotel call them and tell them in advance you're coming.

    火曜日にて購入した商品ですがホテルで試した時点で音声のみ出力し、映像が映りません。不良の原因が本体かケーブルになるですがテレビ1台しかないため、確認をとれません。店舗の方で試させて頂きたいです。

Thanks Gaijinpunch!, I was on a hurry so went with my notebook with the text, and the guy from Softmap understood it, but he also called a girl who spoke english. It was a problem of the cable, but they changed the console and gave me free some stuff for the inconveniencies.

Now I'm back at home playing Virtua Fighter 5, and missing my Death Smiles plays XD.
