My mate in work just bought a load of Slipknot/Slayer Tickets for the CIA gig in October. So can't wait for that! :smt023 What are you fella's going to?
I'm going to see George Clinton in july. And he's bringing all his friends(parliament, funkadelic etc), 28 people on stage! Might go see Stevie Wonder too... And Kraftwerk, for the second time this year.
I'm waiting for the Judas Priest's tour! I can't miss that, since I don't know for how long Halford will be with them
A few friends of mine asked me to go along to Lowlands (big 4-day festival), but it starts 4 days after I get back from Japan and the tickets alone are 110e... so thats a no-go for me :Hangman: But I will be going to Nightwish this November :smt033
With a job and all it's going to be hard to get away for the summer, but I'd like to try and catch Less Than Jake (via the Warped Tour) when they hit Oregon, as well as Taking Back Sunday (who are inevitably going on a support tour when their new album hits in July), AFI (if they ever come close to Oregon again) and the Cherry Poppin' Daddies in November.
Unfortunatly Unfortunatly most of my favorite bands either just don't come to Canada or have broken up (i.e. At the Gates) or have totally changed their style (i.e. In Flames)
whoever has the chance should go and see "Dragonforce", I saw them on tour with WASP last week in Austria, and they were awsome ... (been waiting for them to come to Austria since their demo as "Dragonheart" (might ring a bell in some peoples mind) - they are even game-related, as some of their solos are actually game themes (last ninja, double dragon, street fighter etc.) :smt023 apart from that, I will go to see Alice Cooper next week, maybe Nightwish later this year, maybe I even travel to Wacken (Festival in Germany) Judas Priest are skipping Austria on their current tour ... :butthead:
Man, I dream of the day I can go to Wacken. The cast has always many nice bands, and you can't go wrong with 3 days straight of pure metal!
I guess you ain't going to any good concerts this year then :smt043 :smt043 :smt043 May be off to see Thee Dropkick Murphy's in August :smt023
Does anybody know what happened with Daft Punk? They working on a new record or something? Still alive? what?? :smt017
If you ever have the chance ... go ! I was there 1999 and 2000, and it was just unbelieveable great ... always a great lineup, cool people, not so good organization and :drinkers:
I don't know actually. One of them made the soundtrack for Irreversivble, and they released their anime music videos (the whole album!) on DVD last year...
Say Legit, not to veer this topic too far off, but as you're a fan of the Dropkick Murphys, might I suggest giving a listen to Flogging Molly? Very similar to the Murphys, but with a little more kick. :smt023
re I went to the HIM concert in Norfolk, Virginia a month ago. No big deal to most people I talk to in Europe, but this is their first American tour. I was also going to go see an In Flames concert in Charlotte, NC, but in the end I decided it was better to just save money.
a perfect circle Went to A Perfect circle about 3 or 4 months ago. It was pretty good. I was almost about to go to the him concert, but didnt know the date for it. They've only had one albulm release here in the U.S. I'm hoping they release more of their albulms (hopefully bam will push for this).
re They are going to release the other three (I hope) albums this year in America, but I hope Bam just sits this one out. There was too much moshing at the HIM concert, and it just doesn't fit in with HIM's theme/type of music. If I had Greatest Love Songs and Deep shadows and Brilliant Highlights, I'd be set. I already have the Love Metal limited edition and the Finnish copy of RR.
