Heh,...anyways The last few days, myself, and our team having been toiling away, and it all paid off yesterday.... ..still don't have a clue eh? Team2056, OP Patriotics won our debut event, in our rookie season, the Waterloo Regional, you can read more, and see some images at our site www.oppatriotics.com What does this mean? Well, other than being one of the first times ever, that a rookie team in their debut event wins, it also means we have been guaranteed a spot in the FIRST Robotics Finals coming up in several weeks in Atlanta Georgia Looking back, it's amazing that we were able to do this, six weeks ago, we were sponserless, without a gameplan, and without a robot. But thanks to some luck and an incredible team, we were able to do it, and win. Of course we wouldnt have been able to do this without the help of our sponsers, HWDSB, RMT Robotics, All Tool Automation, ABB, CNC Woodcraft. See you in Atlanta! Ryan
and, no, i did not kiss the robot according to some rumours .........it was more like a french kiss....
heh, maybe next years game will be that Nah, this years game had us create a 'bot that would take ringers(inner tubes) and place them on the "rack" which is basically a cylindrical tic-tac-toe, while working in an alliance with two other teams, throw in a bit of defensive program, and it actually turns out quite exciting You can see some vid's of it: http://www.soap.circuitrunners.com/2007/movies/wat/ Our team had some amazing runs, and ultimatly we came out on top, as such, whoever wins each regional (held throughout USA, Canada, Brazil, India) they are included into the finals, in Atlanta Georgia Ryan
Heh, with a little luck, we could win this weeks Regional, in Toronto We finally figured out the glitch in our code, so we should be pretty good heh, and of course we'll have a new site design by then too lol Ryan
