So I need a break from the walls of the shop which means I'll probably head up to Osaka and do some game shopping there. Did a couple of people here say that they saw some stores getting rid of some of their old stock? And are the stores open the same hours on weekends? I can't remember when I went in the past but I'm pretty sure it was a weekday.
As for Den Den, all the little stores tend to keep "lazy" hours at the weekend. I can't be too precise, but I once got there for "around" ten and had to kill about an hour because nothing was open (except the 50 yen arcade - so all was cool). There is a place right at the most southern point of den den that sells junk stuff in bulk. I recall them doing great deals on arcade sticks, PS2 stuff (cheap enough not junked) and mint Bishi games. Other than that I have never brought stock in huge amounts, so I can't really help you there.
I've been there a couple of times but the last time was a couple of years ago. I know the shops don't open until 11 and they close at around 6-7. I remember getting up bright and early and heading out at 9 Am...then killing 2 hours in a few camera shops. I just didn't know if the weekend hours were any different.
On Fridays, at least, the game stores are open until 8pm. Actually, A-Too is open until 9, I believe! (Not sure when things open, it's against personal policy to do anything in the am.) Anyway, zip me off a PM -- maybe we can meet up when you're in town...
