I'll be going to Québec for 3 days to see SOAD in concert on the 30th. Since it's one of my all-time favorite bands, I'm sure it's going to be a blast. I know cahaz is going to see the same show tomorrow night (the 29th) in Montréal since I already spoke to him about it. They supposedly put on a really great show. :smt030

So lucky. Be sure to enjoy B.Y.O.B. for me :). Take note of that awesome double bass in the song. So awesome. That's going to rock.

I don't really care for them myself, but I hear they put on a nice show. I have a DVD with a few live songs - they had some wierd eye animations running in the background.

    That was INSANE!!!

I won't write what happened for now, just to not spoil the fun of atomix, but that was kicking some serious asses! and i have way more respect for them now, now that i know they're real good musicians with real talent. Hell, they weren't even tired at the end of the show. The ambiance was incredible. Everyone jumped everywhere, while other time everyone where waying their hands and cellphones. that was just fantastic!

Anyway, my friend took some pics with his cellphone, maybe i'll post them. :)

System of a Down is great. Seems you had tons of fun.

By the way, September will be a fantastic month for concerts here in Rio. Just check who will play here:

    - Whitesnake + Judas Priest
    - Moby
    - Simple Plan
    - Avril Lavigne
    - Slipknot
    - Megadeth
    - Weezer

Plus in October there's the TIM Festival ( The Strokes , Kings of Leon, M.I.A., Diplo, Wilco, Kings of Convenience, Morrissey e Nancy Sinatra, Outkast and Arcade Fire + lots of DJ's ), and in December, Pearl Jam.

    Music for all :D

I've got a great few months lined up for music too actually:
On sunday I went ot the reading festival, mainly to see Iron Maiden
On Friday I'm off to hammersmith to see Iron maiden again, in a benefit for their ex-drummer who has developed MS
On the 26th sept I'm seeing a band called DragonForce in Pompey
On 19th nov I see Motorhead in brixton with my uncle as an 18th bday present
and in february, I'll see James Blunt in Brighton. Should be great!

    .....I'm simply in awe.....
The show was absolutely fantastic. I don't think that there exist any words than can fully describe what I felt there. They really are great musicians, especially live. I've compiled a list of songs they played (not in order):
    -Suite Pea
    -Know
    -Sugar
    -Suggestions
    -War
    -Prinson Song
    -Needles
    -Deer Dance
    -Chop Suey
    -Bounce
    -Forest
    -ATWA
    -Science
    -Toxicity
    -Psycho
    -Aerials
    -Mr. Jack
    -Fuck the System
-Soldier Side (the intro from Mezmerize) The first song they played with a great unveiling. They put up a huge cutain and played the intro from behind and as soon as B.Y.O.B. started (the next song like on the CD), they dropped the curtain and exploded on stage :D
    -B.Y.O.B
    -Revenga
    -Cigaro
-This Cocain Makes me Feel Like I'm on this Song
    -Violent Pornography
    -Question
    -Sad Statue
    -Lost in Hollywood
+2 or 3 songs from their upcomming CD, Hypnotize that's comming out in Nov.

I did take a few pics and a small video clip but they don't look that good (at least not on the cell phone). I need to figure out how to transfer stuff from my phone to my PC first. Above that, I was enjoying the show too much to be taking lots of pics.

The energy in the stadium was off the charts. We were in the balcony right next to the stage and we coul feel it go up and down from the people jumping. BTW, the balcony is all concrete o_O.
