This Christmas i am going on a 9 hour long road trip, luckily i won't be driving this time cause its a family trip. (Parents are taking Us). I am looking to add some GBA games to my collection and what a better time to buy a bunch of them. I'll take anything. But No Final Fantasy titles. thanks! So i am wondering what GBA games would you recomend for a road trip? Currently i own: Super Mario Advance 2 Advance Wars Fire Emblem Golden Sun Mario Kart All pokemon games Sonic 2, sonic 1, sonic 3 megamn zero 4 tony hawk ps Yu-gi-oh EDS Harvest Moon Kirby Amazing Mirror thanks!
I would recommend the Sega Smash Pack. Although some things (mainly music) were messed up or removed during the porting, it's still very fun to play on long trips. (Actually the Golden Axe port has a fun bug that sometimes lets you control an enemy, but it's hard to pull off.)
Super Puzzle Fighter and some form of Tetris. The Castlevania games are pretty decent. Mario Vs Donkey Kong
This. You can never go wrong with the classics. And Metroid Fusion is an ecxellent game... Very nice story
Ah, well glad i am getting alot of feed back i have 2 weeks until the trip. So keep them coming. I already beat Mario(vs)Donkey kong, both metroid games, and M&L Superstar Saga. I own Link to the past as well. I will be getting Wario Ware, i have that on my PSP, hmm, and i love it. I will look into sega smash pack, the golden axe port seems like the only thing i would play. Also keep in mind, i am buying from the local used books/games store, so not sure how often that pack comes up. I already put on my list the Castlevania NES gba game as well.
You have Wario Ware on your PSP? Do you mean like an emulator or something? Waro Ware Twisted is a good game, too.
Yes most of these games everyone has given me i have one time or another tried out on an emulator. I figured someone will soon post a less popular game that will be worth the play. Seems all the named besides the sega smash pack, has been popular demand for most top "number here" lists.
Densetsu no Starfy It's an import, but insanely good. You don't even need to be able to read the dialogue to play, though there's a couple parts that you might have trouble figuring out what to do (make sure you have headphones, I remember a part with a sound cue, like you had to go through rooms in a certain order, and when you left a room it would either BRR-RR or DING depending on whether you went through the right one). Drill Dozer is also a really awesome and creative platformer. Even has rumble!
Can a regular GBA play imports? I know i started that i have a PSP with emulator the GBA. But i want to buy games, not get roms. just to clear it up soom
Unless I'm way-off, it should play them just fine without any modification. Probably need some backup on that statement, though (I know original GB games are this way).
