Hello all. Can anyone give me a good recommendation for a HDMI switch? Preferably, I would like it to be a minimum of 4 In / 1 Out. Auto-sensing/switching capabilities would be nice, but is not mandatory. I would like it to have a manual selector switch on the front of it so I don't have to worry about keeping another remote immediately accessible. Regarding size, something close to a standard rack component would be good as opposed to one of those mini versions. Thanks in advance all for your help! Terry
I am actually looking for a switchbox since I have 4 HDMI components and only 1 HDMI input on my TV (as opposed to a RCA - HDMI converter).
I have had a good experience with the HDMI switchbox from Monoprice. They have 4, 5 and 8-to-1 boxes. Not even close to being a "rack component" size, (more like a router size), but it blends in well.
@mairsil I have read the same concerning this brand/line. They seem to give you the most bang for the buck. Do any of them incorporate Network Sharing at all (like the old System Selector Pro)?
No, but you should use a separate network router/switch for that anyway. I also have a Pelican switch with network switching, and the problem is that you drop the network connection when you go back and forth between systems.
