Good Playstation imports?

I'm looking to get a few shooters (vertical is preferred), although I don't want to pay too much (around $35 is my limit). What are a few good recommendations?

 

Vib Ribbon. Not a shooter but great game.

 

Picked a few up in Japan:

-Einhander - 200 yen (2 bucks ) my fav one! (horizontal)
-Raiden Project - 400 yen, looks very oldskool, havent really played yet
-Gradius Gaiden - 2500 yen (I think), new - maybe lik-sang has it
-Twinbee Deluxe Pack - 2500 yen new

And probably some other that I forgot. Of course these games will be a bit more expensive in the US, but none of them are exceptionally uncommon.
Other recommended shmups:
-G Darius: horizontal 2D-with-3D-gfx, really cool methinks
-Ray Crisis: vertical 2D-with-3D-gfx

 

DEFINATELY get Gradius Gaiden if you are at all a fan of the series, it rocks. Another good one to get is R-Types/R-Type Delta.

And while it's not a shooter, get Ore No Ryouri. Trust me on this one, it is ridiculously fun and utterly odd.
