I don't care if its pay to use or not, what is some good video software that can simply combine video scenes without shitting up the quality or resolution? I'm guessing there are several, I just want something thats better than Windows movie maker, but I didnt know where to start. So far I think I'm going to get the full version of Fraps too. Oh, and how do you make high quality youtube videos? You know what I mean, its got that "HQ" button on it, their tutorial isn't very clear. Thanks
If you want serious editing software, look no further than Final Cut or Adobe Premier. It depends on what you're trying to do though of course.
Ok, I think I'm going to get Camtasia. Its a little more pricey than I was expecting, but after installing the trial and watching some tutorials on making HD youtube videos, I was really really happy with the results. I made this, and the crazy part is, the movie file was made rather quickly and was about 14.5 megabytes!! I'm probably going to start making a ton more youtube videos of my other PC games as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Gfsqp4oUqs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPOAdhWoWxw Yeah, I might go ahead and do that, I found this video and being able to do all this for free is a lot more appealing than spending a lot on it.
Didn't know VirtualDub had that capability, I'll have to start using that. I've only been using it to convert file types.
Virtual Dub or Virtual Dub mod if you want to do audio changes and MPEG. Unlead video toolbox is also a pretty good video software package but that's not free. Yakumo
Thanks for this information, I've been struggling with this as well. My efforts are not posted up yet, but I now realise where I went wrong as the tutorial from YT was frankly rubbish!
Actually, I think what I've been wanting to do is already possible in Windows movie maker, but I have to download a WMV-HD thing for my profiles, which is weird because while I was searching for them, it said it was supposed to come with Vista anyway.
I always used Sony Vegas, no complaints from my side so far. Then again I have not tried out too many editing programs, this was my second or third try regarding video software and from then on I just kept using it.
Just testing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-Uj85xtwj8 I used Windows Movie Maker before, but I don't like the Win 7 version so I'm using Camtasia right now.
Windows movie maker is good enough for me. I had to do this project in 2 minute chunks because of the insane amount of data in the raw movie files. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nInJMf_yL7E
What I meant is WME is how you get those codecs etc, like AVC/WMVHD (which I think is WMV 9 Pro? It has like a thousand names!).
