Recently I've been thinking of making a site and have been curious what's behind the work. I've found 110mb.com and it seems they might be a good choice, since apparently everything is done through templates which is a great plus for me since I don't want to have to bother with coding or anything, this would just be a side hobby for fun. Only issue of course is that as their name says they only offer 110mb space. For all the stuff I'm hoping to put up I don't imagine I can stay within the limit without having to sacrifce some older content for newer, which isn't how a site should work Just curious if there's any good recommendations.
I dunno 110mb for free on webspace sounds pretty good. I cant understand why you dont make the investment of $10 for a domain name and $10 for some cheap webspace per year then you dont have to worry about space, bandwidth or anything else. You might also want to check that 110mb allow you to upload files for download and how big they can be. Also there might be a max size on images. As for any other free services check how much the free verison of google apps gives you? edit: The standard edition of google apps is free and it includes sites. The sites page say that its 10gb but im not sure how much you get with the standard edition. http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html
sites.google.com is pretty decent if you just want to do some mockups or don't have any extreme content to host. I can't remember the cap, but it also has a max file size I believe.
i use sixserve.net. it has unlimeted free hosting, but it has banners on the top and bottom, but with cPanel access you can also upgrade to unlimeted reseller hosting (which means that you can sell hosting and such) for $4.99/month.
