Hey guys, Just wanted to get some info on these issues I have with the ps2 Tool system 'dtl-T1000HA and H. first off the HA powers up, i get a beep sound and it just keeps on beeping on/off. I don't get an image using vga/av either - can this be fixed? and what's this error about? now for the H tool, powers up - i get the tool screen (when it's hooked up with AV) but the cd drive/tray doesn't pop out ( Sounds like it's stuck too). so can these be fixed? is it a really bad error to have these issues? (wondering if its fatal for the systems) Thanks for any info
First sounds like a hardware problem with the PC card, check if the memory is fitting in correctly or anything else not connected properly, clean it. Depending on the type of beeps, you can hear where the problem lies, like with pc's. http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm Second, fixing the dvd drive is pain, you have to be confident to take the whole tool apart, use Parris' document for this. I had the same issue with one of my tools, the fix itself was easy but the taking the tool apart was hell. Otherwise just pull out the tray manually, to atleast check if the laser is ok and it plays games.
Yeah, i was actually just looking at the pdf file guide. man it looks like a bunch of stuff to do haha but, def looks like a fix. So eventually they would have to be opened up to check and clean.
update, so i tried just moving the lid without opening the H system and bam! the try comes out pressed the button to eject/retract the tray a couple of times and its all good - thank goodness i didn't have to open this one up so powers up, tray works and i get the Tool screen for it
Don't worry about checking the PC card, this is very easy accessible. Double check all cables and if it sits well in the slot.
