Here are some screenshots: I also made a short video for YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjMziFMqb98 Thanks!
Id love to have a satellaview but it scares me shitless knowing the games can be wiped if your not careful with the options as they are rewritable carts. Especially the prices some of the bsx games fetch.
Tetris Attack is the western name of Panel de Pon and that BS-X Game is just "Yoshis Panepon", so its obvious that its essentially Panel de Pon . But I'd like to hear something about the differences as well
I think Nintendo did release one for the GameBoy Advance, I think. I've seen the BS-X dump file but haven't checked it.
Ah, I see. It is Tetris Attack. I was doing research on Panepon and not Panel de Pon. http://www.consoleclassix.com/gameinfo_tetrisattack_smc.html Where did this come from? http://www.vgrebirth.com/games/game...mes/search.asp?keywords=Panel+de+Pon&x=8&y=13
IIRC Mario Allstars was first tried (with SMB2 and SMB3 parts and with differences in levels) on BSX before it became available as a cart.
Yes, that's right and a "Zelda All-stars" was supposedly in the works too at one point. Shame that never saw the light of day. The BS-X had some pretty good games!
But Panel de Pon came out on cartridge first on 27th October 1995 and Yoshi no Panepon after first Nintendo Satellaview game in 1996. And Super Mario Collection game was released on 14th of July 1993 and part 1 of BS Super Mario Collection (Part 1: Dai 1 Shuu) on 28th of December 1997. I don't understand how they was tested as a BS-X game before cartridge version?
Ah you are right. I was always under the impression that it was released prior to Super Mario Collection, but if you look at the time line that would be impossible. Thanks for clearing that up.
