Just got robbed for all the money in my debit card. That was like all I had in my account, so now I'm broke and I don't even have money for groceries. I was already broke. Fuck I'm so pissed. Why rob a college student, we're all broke. Fuck.

Wow is it rob a college kid month or something. A friend of mine the other day had a $1200 bill from his paypal, but luckily he ended up owing them nothing.

Sorry to hear about that, I know what it's like being poor. =(

I got nailed last year from a hacked atm, went to get money out and right after I entered my pin number the atm reset and went to a boot up screen. Looked strange, so later that day I checked my account and sure enough someone liberated me of $300. Luckily I caught it early and got the money back. Not much you can do about it these days.

Hopefully it wasn't an in-person robbery.

instead of been robbed, I luckily always got my wallet back, when I was too stupid putting it somewhere and walking away without it (e.g. on a vending machine at a crowded street, in restaurant etc.).
one of the privilegs of living in a very low crime country :)

    I'm sorry to hear that!

So where I work, each check out station has a little thing where people swipe their debit/credit cards, enter their pin etc. well, this lady came paid with her card, left her card on the counter and walked out of the store and got in her car.
the next customer noticed it and ran it out to her before she left. then he comes back in and tells me the lady blamed me for not giving her back the card. i didn't even touch her card... people these days...

Thats shit mate. If it was fraud or something I hope you get it back.

I live on the edge of a dodgy area so you see kids walking round trying car doors and so on, I was stopped by muggers once but managed to get out of it without them taking anything as I was near a main road. My mate also got stopped by a group of 3 kids ~ 17 yo oon the way back from mine after a few beers the other week - funny thing is they pulled a pencil on him, so having a bit of a temper (and a few cans inside him) he lamped the kid with the pencil in the side of the head and they just backed down

I once had £150 withdrawn from my bank account in Bratislava in two transactions. Luckily, HSBC are pretty on the ball with that kind of thing, froze the account straight away and called me asking where I was at the time.

A friend of mine had about £3000 taken from his Paypal account and I'm not too sure he even managed to get it back.

That's terrible - I feel sorry for you. But are you somehow implying it's A-OK to rob someone who ISN'T a college student, because somehow they would feel it less???

Being robbed is shit all round, not just for college students. You don't have a monopoly on the misery it causes, I'm afraid, my friend.

Thats terrible hope you got or are getting it worked out.

I remeber my Debit card got as i call it "Eaten" by a cash machine which i belive was tampered with to get people's cards, was on my way to college at the time which was annoying because it was before 8.30 and i had to walk along the road to the bank the all the way back and then to college. Unlicky for me i had to wait from like 8.30 till 10.00 to see someone at the bank as it was on the one day of the week that it opened late.

Someone got my credit card details and spent £500, but luckily I logged into my account online and saw the transactions and notified the card company.
They will be sending out some forms in the post to confirm whats was fraudulent and I should get me money back soon.

Funny thing is, I just purchased a 60gb PS3 online and I had the bank just call. Guess $350 bucks online would set up a red flag for any small bank.

Somebody once took £100 out of my Barclays account using a cash machine a few years ago at 4 am. I was in possession of the card all that night so I'm presuming it was a clone.

I told the bank and they said that there was no evidence to suggest that it had happened by unlawful means and said that if I continued to push it they would accuse me of bank fraud.
