After looking around a bit finally managed to snag one of the 60 gig models. Makes me noticed just how loud the 360 really is. Wouldn't be getting any games for it till Jan as this is my Xmas present to myself and I'm broke now :icon_bigg Paid $479.99 CDN.
My Xmas gift to myself is the same value as a few PS3's.... I unloaded a ton of shit to get it though.
Black Label. DS is easy to find, an will only get cheaper. Even Shibuya Kaikan has it for 50 yen a play.
Wow! How do you even begin to explain that to your friends, or worse, relatives? ;-) "Yeah, I spend $800 on a circuit board, it has one game on it which I'll play to death of the next few months"
So do I. I wish you'd give it up and donate all of your boards to me! That'd solve your problem real fast.
Phew.... for a second there I thought you bought one  Seriously though, they're nice machines, but there is no way I will ever be able to justify spending that much on a video game console.
For me it was the reading of the disc that sounded like it was being carved up. First time I heard it I panicked till I realized it was normal.
I remember that too. I was amazed how interesting the DreamCast sounded during gameplay. The PS1 was the norm before. Nowdays with the 360 drive screaming and making weird horrible noises I miss the DC's noise. I wouldn't mind having a PS3, but they still cost too much.
360 #2 for me is somewhat quiet. maybe somewhere down the line i'll get a PS3 when there's you know A reason to get one.
