mmm... normal's ok? and we will need to define the number of lives and when you'll receive new lives with points. i suggest taking 5 lives and new lives at 30 000 points (first starting at 20 000). like that, we'll know no one will cheat by using more lives or anything like that (since it's already the maximum to start with). is this a good idea? cahaz.
Here's my vote for default settings. I believe that's normal difficulty, 3 ships, and whatever the normal bonuses are. That's generally how high score comps are done.

No shit. I played this for a few weeks when it came out in July, and haven't touched it since until today. I played on Very Easy then too.

yeah, the last boss on the second level's red lasers are a real pain in the arse, but i manage to keep all my lives until the 4th level.
