I have never heard so many ethnic slurs crammed into two hours of film in my entire life. It was, however, an amazing film. Classic Clint Eastwood (say that 5 times fast). It almost felt like I was watching one if his old Spaghetti Westerns. Anyone else see it yet?

Yes I did. I love Clint Eastwood's movies (acting and directing, especially Unforgiven). Clint was top notch in this movie as well. Ethnic slurs don't bother me none, people are too soft skinned now days anyway. ALL THAT ASIDE I still think legit racism is wrong.

My only complaint with the movie was the poor acting from the supporting cast, ESPECIALLY the kid who played Thao. Now I'll give them credit as it is their first acting gig and he was supposed to be an awkward kid, but still the basement scene made me CRINGE.

Overall I'd give it an 8/10. Loved the movie, even with its setbacks.

Watching Slumdog Millionaire and The Wrestler soon too :D

Yeah, I know what you mean about Thao.

As far as the slurs go, I couldn't help but laugh. I just really wasn't expecting them. Just every person in the movie was referred to by some racial remark. There were some I had never even heard before!
I don't really know if I should post them but I was crackin' up! I couldn't believe what I was hearing!

How did the crowd react when you saw it?

man, you better not watch Blazing Saddles then  Nobody is safe in that move from ethnic slurs, whites, blacks, asians, Jewish and the Irish all get a bashing.

LOL I was the only audience member...I didn't want to umm "wait" until it DIDN'T come to Japan...I'll leave that as it may.

Anyway, Blazing Saddles is one of my all time favorites. Bless Mel Brooks...

I thought it was a great movie. Everyone in the audience was laughing at the racial slurs... I mean, as insensitive as it may be that's what they're there for.

I was impressed with how damn scary Clint Eastwood is, even in his old age.

i think there were more racial slurs in Gran Torino than in Blazing Saddles...

every race you just stated, were in the movie and every time he referred to them as some slur.

I watched this movie yesterday and must say it was VERY GOOD. So what if there are many ethnic slurs in the movie. That's the way some people are in the world however people should concentrate how a man with a problem with other races due to his past come to regard them as his friends, evenmore so than his own son.

Good story, very funny in parts (the Korean kid trying to speak like a man ) and overall a movie that drawes you in to it.

The Wrestler was good as well. Mickey Rourke put on a GREAT performance in that.

I really want to see The Wrestler. I'm about to watch City of God (one of my favorite films) tonight, after I play Street Fighter...
