I know a few of you here are GT collectors. Sony have finally announced the GT5 Signature Edition for Europe:

    • Metal sculpted box finished in SLS AMG Obsidian Black
    • Exclusive GT branded SLS AMG 1:43 model car
    • GT leather wallet containing Signature Edition competition entry card
    • Branded 4GB USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer
    • GT branded metal key fob
    • Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the beautiful cars and locations of Gran Turismo 5
    • 200 page Apex drivers magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more

Nice isn't it. Hope you're all feeling rich though as it's €179.99!

Then there's the US Collector's Edition:

    • Gran Turismo® 5 game
    • Exclusive limited edition 1:43 scale diecast 2009 Nissan GT-R Spec V with custom Gran Turismo livery designed by Polyphony Digital, produced by well-known collectible car maker Kyosho
    • In-depth 300-page car-lover’s guide written by the experts at Polyphony Digital, covering everything from the history of the modern automobile to driving techniques and game reference material
    • Custom etched Gran Turismo key chain
    • Voucher for five (5) exclusive high-end cars with custom Gran Turismo livery and performance upgrades
    • Numbered certificate of authenticity
    • Custom collector’s packaging
And that'll set you back another $99.99!!

In Japan, seems to release only regular version with book as always.
    I intend to import them.
......it needs payment for price higher than PS3 console.

That sounds good, cause i don't think i can afford another special edition from Japan.

Europe will also have a Collector's edition, but just with the Apex book (it's on the same post of the blog you posted).

Anyway, i'll get the US Collector's edition. The price for the european signature edition is too high, specially for me. With shipping it would cost cost 2 times or even more than the US collector's edition.

Hopefully the US version will have both chrome-line and stealth pre-order cars, and possibly the dynamic theme as well.

EDITED: It will. Check GTPlanet post about it:

Yeah, I missed that. It's €79.99, so I reckon I'll just go for the normal 40 quid 'Poor Man's Edition'.

At least with the 'Rediculously Priced Edition' you get the chance to win a Merc SLS AMG. :033:

Unfortunately that competition is for europe only. No soup for me.

Nice...I really like these collector's editions of games, but why do they always have to have some tiny USB stick in them?

I went with the standard version from Amazon ... the McLaren F1 & Mazda 787B 'Stealth' cars sealed the deal for me!

I have the PS3 and G25 wheel, I fiiiiinally have the 46" Sony TV .... just need GT5 now!

I was just checking out the pictures myself over on Engadget. I'm quite feeling the blue, it looks really nice. Pity there's no chance of us getting it here in Blighty, or the white ones either.

There is a limited edition for Japan. Includes the game and the book, and 5 "stealth" cars.

My guess is that edward_v12 is going to spend a considerable ammount of money on November =]

Can't wait to race with you guys

    Outflow

Already sold only modelcars on ebay (without genuine display case each).
these seem to be the stolen things from a Chinese factory.

    edit;
Without metal GT-R logo script also. it seems stolen before final assembly.
