Gran Turismo HD still obtainable?

I should hopefully be getting a ps3 soon and being a big Gran Turismo fan, will be getting GT5 prologue and eventually the full GT5. But for completions sake, I was also hoping to get the short lived Gran Turismo HD demo.

I know it was available in very limited numbers on disc and that it was downloadable on the psn for an also very limited time.

However, a friend who has had a ps3 for a while has offered to loan me an account of his which he used to download the game when it was available and says I will still be able to download it.

I know psn allows you to share games with like 5 consoles, but was just wondering if he is correct in saying that a game like this which only had a limited run will still be able to be downloaded again via the history for an account that got it at the time?

And if not....where else would be the best place to get the disc of it? I haven't been able to find it on ebay or the likes.

What he says is part correct. You can activate stuff you've bought 5 times. Whether it's his own console, yours or anyone else, it doesn't matter. However, Gran Turismo HD didn't cost anything, so he can actually share it unlimited times, of course it still requires to giveaway his account info.

 

Yes, we are trusted friends, so he is willing to give me that information. Activation shouldnt be a problem. Its just getting the actual game data onto the machine that I am worried may be a problem.

My main concern was that if the download would still be held on the psn servers for people who already got it back then to re-download it again now with accounts that got it at the time.

You're saying that they will still have it on their servers and I should be able to get it fine using his accounts download history to re-download it to my own machine when I get it?

 

I just received a new PS3 a month ago, and I was able to download it again, so my answer would be yes :nod:

 

If the name on PSN was GT HD concept 2.0 then yes it's still downloadable in the history tab

this disc was enabled in all region, but SD output on NTSC only. required HD (720p and more) output for PAL area.
needs disc just for install.

I have the disc and would recommend it to any GT fan.

By the way, does anyone know where i can find menu translations? I can't find anywhere.
