Well the title says it all, i started playing Grandia on Saturn but when the intro fmv began the sound was distorted [fuzzy, like when you don't have the channels set up on your new tv :crying:] Same to the next fmv [the one after you choose to start a new game], after that got in real time graphics and the sound was "crystal" clear [sound efects, dialogs etc] Well i haven't played much i just walked a little on the town and i made a save [near the railroads save point at the start of the game] Just wondering if it is serious or anything. I tested the game with scart and rf cable, same both times. I run it on a PAL saturn with Datel's Pro Universal Adapter [crap i know, this is my second one the other one went to the bin as it refused to work OH: ]
You got it, this is a well-known pb when playing JPN and US games in 50Hz: you get some sound pbs on FMV.
Well i have just read it also on sega xtreme boards :crying:OH: I've just got surprised as i have played other imports with the same "set up" [US and Jap] and i had no problems at all Thanks for the info :020:
You're right. Some games don't have sound pbs in FMV with the same config. It depends on how the videos have been made and which codecs they use.
Well it's the only saturn game that i own and has adx sound, maybe it has to do something with that [i doubt it but just a thougt]
Checking mi pockets, finds some spiders. :noooo: Well i give it a thought as i can also play KOF95 [the pal version is kinda out of my limits for the time being ]
