According to Wikipedia there were 200k Halo xboxes made. How many of those are PAL is hard to say. This number was (roughly) confirmed later here.
Wikipedia has been oh so wrong with production figures about every single Xbox. Moontar is correct, Japanese consoles were the only ones with a production number, some of which were not even fulfilled.
Yup, I agree. Only reason I brought it up is because @206mmm (Supply Chain Program Manager for Xbox at the time) loosely confirmed that that number Perhaps not the most accurate figure but it's the best we have. Still gives us a general idea of rarity (Launch Team vs Halo Box vs Panzer Dragoon etc).
Is this even a Halo edition being talked about? As far as I know the green Halo 1 console was only released in the US and then other countries got clear green consoles but not Halo ones. Halo editions say "Halo Special Edition" on the front while the others do not. Also, I am not sure I understand the point of knowing the rarity of such a common console. Will, "Rare Halo Xbox, 1 of only 200,000" ever happen?
The point isn't the rarity of this version, it's just answering the original question of how many were made. Know the rarity means knowing the normality.
the green halo one is pretty common in australia, which is going to be the same stock pool as NZ. Other pal systems are going to be slightly different, safety regulations and such (just the stickers really), might be better at finding out the number of systems sold in ANZ... The clear one seems even more common here, iirc it came out later so it was cheap-ish being it was on sale a lot more and usually in that PGR bundle..
