Was playing this last night and spotted a nice flickering green wall! I know these things happen from time to time, but this is at a point in the game where it is almost impossible to miss. Not a biggy, but where was the QA?
I think it is. My copy of Halo 3 started throwing up random green and purple areas, 1 month later the GPU went. I might be wrong, it could just be a random glitch but keep an eye on it.
Yes this is not a good sign, and could mean the GPU will soon be dead. It's not covered under the replacement 3 yr warranty either (only the 1 year).

Wouldn't everything be fucking up if it was his GPU? IE COD4 everything was purple for me. It is COD3 afterall, they could have just fucked up.
Yea It really depends if that green is always there in cod3. if its always there its probably the gpu. But if not then it might just be a Glitch in CoD3
With me it was the Sky in all 3 Halo games that started suffering, they kept turning green and purple.
The thing to do is to go to the same spot on another console. I remember when my second Xbox 360 died on me. The graphical glitches were quite spectacular. I was amazed the game was still working other than the massive graphical problems.
Makes me feel better now I have an Elite, but is there a way of finding out what version/chip set it has?
Technically my 360 does have a GROD. It starts up has sound, controllers work fine, but no video. =P I got it practically for free though so it's not really that huge of a deal. Just wish I could get it working so I could play a couple games. I actually did have it working one day, and I played GOW2 for a while and it started to get green textures everywhere, but it eventually got better, and then after I turned it off I couldn't get video again.
