Hi there everyone! My name is Jacob Howie from Team BUD-DY. I am part of a new game studio in Michigan developing a survival horror game, Centralia, which is due for release in late 2018. Centralia is inspired heavily by Silent Hill and even incorporates certain aspects into the game such as a hellish world (otherworld), large industrial fans, an abandoned town and a few other features! We were established last year in June and when a separate start up we were in contact with folded, we took over development of Centralia. We really admire your work preserving game builds and we plan to release some in progress builds of our game in the new future here as well. So hello everyone!
Kewl. Seems like an awefully short development time for a survival horror game, unless of course it is another Unity powered, asset-store filled, Steam-early-access title. Got any screens/info to share on the game?
Actually, we picked up the project from a now closed developer. They had some of the work already done for us. Our first official screens and trailer will be on valentines day. The original developer, MRosewood was also based in Michigan. We knew a couple of the guys from classes (we all attended baker college of Jackson together.) and that is how the project was transferred over to us when it was canned. They had been about 50% into development at the time of transfer. We are in the process of fixing the broken content and expanding the game. Originally it was a first person horror title, now its been transformed into a third person camera. Nope Its actually inspired by one of our team members dogs who passed away.
