I'm going to post another thread shortly to request some knowledge regarding a little side-project of mine, but I thought it would be most appropriate to post here first. So hello!

I've gone by the username Sappharad in most places, but apparently the forum registration has password-like restrictions on usernames right now, and forced me to add numbers before it considered the name valid.

I own a few older systems and related hardware for them, starting with the Dreamcast. I released a bit of homebrew on the Gamecube about 10 years ago, used to hack cheat device codes (and have hardware for it) on GBA and DS. More recently I've been maintaining the Mac OS X builds of the BizHawk emulator. Over the past year, I've gotten some upgrades for my old dreamcast, (VGA cable, SD card adapter, GDEMU) and I'm looking to do a bit more with that. This seems like one of the most active places for discussion of related matters, which is why I decided to join.

With our idiosyncratic auto moderation system, an introduction post is always a good start! ;)

    Welcome!

I don't like it, and I would change it if given the chance. But as I said in my first post:

The naming restriction doesn't make sense to me. The name doesn't exist, but I can't use it.
