[FONT=&amp] My name is German and this is my collection. [/FONT]

[FONT=&amp]It consists of more than 100 items. I have some of them for sale, so just ask for it.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] Also, your help with my collection is much appreciated ([/FONT][FONT=&amp]especially with Gran Turismo "Milestone" Tokyo - Seoul Concept)[/FONT][FONT=&amp].[/FONT]

[FONT=&amp] Some information about me:[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] I am living in Russian Federation in a not so big city, but in [/FONT][FONT=&amp]automotive capital of our country, in a mostly "middle class" family for last time.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] Gran Turismo is truly one of my most favorite games. It was one of first games that I played by myself on my own game console. It also was my first game where I spend a lot of hours playing. I very very like the main idea of Gran Turismo - game for car lovers. Also I truly enjoy hearing music from GT original soundtracks (mostly Japanese).[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] I was thinking that I collect all GT games many times ago, but then I accidentally write down words "Gran Turismo" in search on Yahoo auctions I was truly shocked how many GT games and stuff there is.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] I wanted to start collecting GT stuff immediately, but unfortunately quickly realized, that delivering something from Yahoo auctions to my country is too expensive.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] Then I started with eBay. I was bought my first things there in a last summer.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] And now in about one year my collect[/FONT][FONT=&amp]o[/FONT][FONT=&amp]in grow up to 100+ items.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] In my situation it looks almost like a miracle.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp]Of course then I started to collect, I understand that I will need huge amount of money. I worked every summer every year to earn [/FONT][FONT=&amp]some funds for my collection. I also started to resell some stuff from eBay.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp] And now I truly enjoying by watching my collection. Hope you enjoy it too.[/FONT]

Probably a silly question but where did you get the Gran Turismo 2 Special Edition, it was an Italian only release wasn't it?

I've been looking for a copy myself is all.

 

You mean Gran Turismo 2 with Bonus Disc?
It was released only in France and it's not a problem to find him on eBay.

I don't think that bleem has some associations with GT2 officially, but thanks for a tip.

 

actually it does, it was released by bleem before sony started finding em a threat to themselves & decided to destroy em.

so its still an officially released (by bleem) GT RELATED product, maybe not released by sony, but still legit (thats just how I see it from a collectors pow, but then again I tend to collect everything I lay my hands on once I'm interested in a certain product ;-))

I am always collecting GT games only released by SONY, but maybe I will grab it too. As I said, thanks for a tip.

Reading PlayStation Magazines i found some information about Gran Turismo and make scans of it. This should be interesting.

PSM 32, 53 covers & Gran Turismo Advertising


In PSM 53 was posted a GT2 preview with some interesting details.


There is 3 noticable things in "car showroom"


In the first one you can see an Alfa Romeo 156 accidentally named 145 by PSM. But if you look at it more closely, you will find 156 similar to a hatchback. Maybe PD make 156 with wrong back there?
In the second you can see first Nissan Skyline GT-R named as Fairlady 240ZG. Of course, this is mistake of PSM. But i can't recall racing KPGC-10 GT-R in GT2.
In the third picture you can see Subaru 360 SS with huge racing wheels. It's pretty funny i think. Seems to be bug from PD.

Also, pretty interesting is a GT2 track list.


You can see Palm Strip drag track, appeared in GT2 intro as "Plam Strip" This is not suprising, because PD told about Drag Racing.
But there also appearing 2 other tracks. One of them is a North American Roadway. Never found some information about this, but it seems to be NASACAR-type oval. Racing modification for Ford Taurus SHO possibly can confirm it. Too bad that PD didn't have enough time to finish this.
Other one is a Eiger Path. Did the PD thinking about Eiger Nordwand so many time ago or it's just an old name for another GT2 track - Grindelwald?

And finaly there is piece from interview about never appeared drag racing and GT2000.

The Alfa is a 156. It looks hatchback from that angle, but it's not. Here's a Picture

As for the GT-R, it's probably in the game. The Subaru is funny, it looks like a bug. Those wheels are from a race car. :lol:

Palm Strip is possible the drag racing track that wasn't finished for GT2. North American Roadway i never heard of. But i agree with you, it could be an oval. As for Eiger Path, it was probably Grindelwald. I remember reading on GTplanet that Eiger Nordwand is mostly in the same vicinity of Grindelwald. So it would be normal to call Grindelwald an "Eiger Path".

Looks like a Japanese answer to VW Beetle "Herbie"

Grindelwald is a village located 5.5 km north to the Eiger, so, i think thats why this track was called "Eiger Path" before.
