Call me crazy, but i'm not impressed. I'm not saying it doesn't look good or anything like that. But unlike Gears of War, it doesn't have that WOW factor on it.

I know it's too soon to judge, but i think the graphics update look "normal" for the next gen standard.

Taucias, man you get pissed easily...

Dude the game is in NYC, right? then why the hell would it had anything to do with european immigration issues? shouldnt it be more about american illegal immigration?

A fair point, but my response was such because of the way that you phrased your reply. "Real smuggling", indeed.

Also, as far as I am aware, the game has nothing to do with people smuggling. The character is just talking about this criminal past.

Now if you had Gears of Wars-class graphics and sex with naughty prostitutes , GTA would be a winner for the kids!

Seriously though, I still think people will look back at Vice City and GTA3 nostalgically despite this upcomming release - unless they include some really cool and nasty stuff to do! (mixing your own drugs?:p )

Personally, I like this new 'direction', if you can call it that yet. The GTA3 formula was a winner, but it's been done to death frankly. Five games now featuring almost identical game engines and design with the odd tweak or two. It's time for something new, something as radical as GTA2->GTA3.

Yeah I know, just like vercetti used to talk about how he ended in the can during the entire game (VC).

And I agree with barc0de: GTASA was pretty much the highest point in the series, and took the concept to the very edge and beyond (like, why the hell I have to improve my character in an action game? thats why the Sims are for).

But at the same time, is this going to be a brand new concept? of just the same ol' game with prettier graphics?

    Only time will tell...

I didn't get the "wow" factor either. It looked like it was the same concept but in a different city with better graphics. But Rockstar hasn't failed to deliver yet so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I just hope they don't add in too many more daily tasks like eating and working out....and actually getting inside buildings and snooping around would be cool.

I'm afraid they'll try to sell the same game as in the last GTAs only with a graphic update and downloadable content (I hope I'm wrong). Getting inside buildings would be great, and I'd like to see the NPC be a little more "human", not like robots (walk/run/attack).

I'm with the "new gameplay" crowd. If the core game mechanics are the same as all the previous 3D titles I'll have zero interest in this game. It's time for something more polished and less frustrating, 100 hours of gameplay doesn't mean shit to me if none of it is any good. To be honest I'm not that hopeful.
