I've been trying now to get gta to work on my xbox 360 xdk. Sometimes it loads up and then freezes, then sometimes it just doesn't load at all . If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated
Patch it to be an XDK XEX file (and all XEX files). Using "360Gamehack" will do this just fine. Though that said, I cannot say it will be safe to go online with it.
The game runs fine on my end but I would very highly suggest you only play the single player. BTW the game freezing on the R* logo is cause the system time is wrong ;P
Im glad someone with more experience gave some input. I've never played any GTA games, and I'm still new to 360 stuff but I can certainly say DONT play online at all. It's not like the PS3 where you can get away with it most of the time because of Microsoft's killswitch is ready to be pressed at any time.
I fixed gta btw, i was playing it online on my xdk before. Just make sure you move the content folder from disc 1 to content on hdd. Then launch default.xex. You will need to setup kdnet since gta will freeze. Then type in kdnet ahi then g

Did you devsign the install files? Can't remember if GTA 5 has any but if yes then you need to resign them. Same if you package up the game in GoD.
I thought there were "launcher" xexs to boot the default.xex alongside the content in "content" folder that installs from the install disc.....
some games you just dump the files from one disk into the other and for games like GTA 5 you just grab the "DLC" files from the install disk and resign them to dev then shove them into whatever folder it was intended to go. All the install disk does is just copy it to HDD.
I must be stupid , but for the life of me cant work out how I'm supposed to get this working Ive put the stuff in the "content" folder into the right place & dev signed the xex, but am getting same error as @hex1a4 looked at DLClicence.exe but what the heck is the licence mask ?
Game is two discs so you need the "DLC" install files from one of them in the HDD before running the main game, I can't remember which disc did what so IDK.
yup I'm a dumbass , did a google search for gta v xdk and found I needed a tool called x360pkgtool & dev signed the 4 content files all is now god & working
