Well i had notting to do, so i decided to play gta3 for pc, then i did a lil search for some patches and while i was on that website i looked on the mod section of the website and found one that was about stairs on the tellest building on the game and said that there was a japanese thing on top of that building *originally there, not a mod.* so i decided to apply that patch and this is how it looks:

well, thats what i found, you can walk through the structures :S and stuff.... also i would like to know if anyone knows anything else about weird stuff in gta3 :).

btw: i wonder if this is also on the xbox and ps2 versions, maybe it can be accessed via gameshark or action replay o.0 :smt017

You can get up there via gameshark codes even in the US version. I play GTA3 more than Vice City.

Isn't that place just teh background of where you talk to some dude who gives you missions? You only see it in cutscenes. Excuse the lack of detail, I haven't played GTA3 for a long time.

I think its very possible for GTA3 to hold more secrets due to the size of the gameplay area... but apart from that, I think the GTA3 multiplayer project (apparently there was unfinished multiplayer code in the game and they finished it) deserves some respect :prayer:

That is just the cutscene background where you meet Donald Love. If you use the sniper rifle to zoom in over by the dam you can spot the background for the bank robbery in the opneing cutscene. Probably Rockstars little way of paying homage to Goldeneye. Then again it's probably just laziness.

  8. I've heard there are all sorts of fun glitches in the game engine to let you into interesting areas - ways to see the bank robbery area (which is apparently not solid at all and you fall right through), getting inside the stadium, actually managing to get BENEATH the entire city. Apparently it's a pretty buggy engine. Too bad the game gets so damn boring after 30 minutes of shooting people. It would be interesting to see if there's any of the multiplayer code left in the game that could be accessable though - even a select screen or something.

    re

You can also go under Vice City (which is quite easy after you do it the first time). I'm not sure if there are too many surprises left in Vice City, though, as it seems to be more "complete" to me.

that garden is the background to the cutscenes where you talk to donald love. its in all the ps2 versions and is accessable without gameshark but with cheats. you just have to fly the tank round for a bit to get enough height and you can glide up there. ive managed to land on it several times in the pal ps2 version. you can also see the small empty box that you find there in the last donald love cutscene in the ps2 version.

im pretty certain ive seen everything in gta3 now though. the ghost town, where the opening bank job cutscene takes place, is indeed still in there and you dont need to cheat to see it, you just have to be able to fly the dodo.

with a little mastery of the dodo you can also get to the rooftop garden where kenjis cutscenes take place, inside the stadium (the seats say COCKS on them) and indeed under the city (by far the hardest thing to do).

superjumps are good too, i believe my max insane stunt rotation is around 20000 degrees, again without cheating.

thats why i love gta3 far more than vice, the absence of easily pilotable flying vehicles meant there were far more secret places and challenges. im glad i figured out how to fly the dodo now.

can anyone else fly it? what are your best times?
