title says it all, am a bit bored so thought id post this guess what my avatar pic on the left says in kanji and win a prize, <<<< its actually the tattoo i have on my arm, and it has 2 meanings but thats all the clues your gonna get about it prize could be anything, a personalised email from me, link to my ebay site, or a old game, havent decided really just doing it for fun more than anything!
havent decided yet! it could be your own satifaction of getting the answer right!, it could even be a helper monkey!
Not so fast there Geijinpunch... It could also mean... Decree or Destiny (Mei or Myou) or even Lord or Words of a ruler (Mikoto). It hard to read the same kanji, but it looks like... First one Yasa - Gentle or Affectionate Yuu - Superiority Second One Karasu - Crow or Raven
"gentle crow" + "life" or "yua" (read "your") "life" or "order"? you could have also asked what XYZ stands for. :katamari:
One of the those tattoos where they tell you what it is but they lie. really reads " urge of the goat molesting"
gajin was correct as to what my understanding of the word was, it is 'life' or inochi. and as i recall, its second meaning is to do with having a secret lover, apparently it used to be tattoed behind the ear to signify hidden love bonus points for guessing the literal tranlation into a western name (which is my wife's) as for gajin's prize.. err.. hows about a sequence of numbers? 09-F9-11-02-9D-74-E3-5B-D8-41-56-C5-63-56-88-C0
That's a bit crap! "Have you been cheating on me?" OH: "No I have not, how dare you even suggest..... hang on, get off my ears, leave them alone... I protes.......oh!" "You HAVE! LOOK! A secret lover tattoo" "Damn, that was meant to be a secret"
Are you talking about a western name transliterated into Kanji, or a Japanese/Chinese name written as a Kanji? In any case, I'm guessing Mei / May.
lmao! yeah it does seem a bit daft, and maybe i remeber it wrong, but im sure it something like that anyways, im afraid ccovell is wrong with the name of my wife (or maybe my japanese friend who designed the tattoo for me was wrong and i married the wrong woman!!!) and fester, i know what you mean, you could go into a tattoo shop and they could put anything on your arm, hence why i did my research first and got a friend of mine who is japanese to make sure it was right and do the kanji for me
Most likely neither are wrong (or both are right). There's a lot of room when using kanji for names. Many people go their whole lives w/ nobody being able to pronounce their name properly (w/o being told).
