Check it out somebody posted Assembler's collection from the collecitons page here and they're just tearing it apart over there to feed into their regular dose of drama calling it worthless and crap. Anyway just wanted to share it here as I was lurking their boards and saw the thread.

I don't think thats entirely fair.

The notable spammage is not really a fair example of the sensible members, the person who posted that Kernow did so in good faith.

In this instance it is true to say that most NG.commers arent interested in that sort of stuff, or perhaps are ignorant to its finer points maybe.

 

Is this not a pretty clear case of the pot calling the kettle black? I mean, Neo-geo collectors insulting people for wasting their cash on worthless/overpriced hardware - um, hypocrisy?

Most of them are ass chuckers. A few people there are cool (and their selling forums are great) but other then that a lot of them pride them self on being a pure and total ass to even their mother.

Just leave the babies. I'm sure if someone who's not a regular visitor of neo-geo.com comes to ASSEMbler after reading such crap they'll see for themselves that many of the members are just crap spouting babies.

Also, the forum made my eyes hurt. There was ONE really good pic there, but overall, it really becomes hard to read, with the 800x400 sigs and all that crap.

well they did talk like that in the previous "Assembler vs Neo-Geo.com" thread with a few guys constantly using colloquia made up of random concatenations of the word "virgin", "gay", "ass" and "faggot", in conjunction with "faggot crybabies who can't afford my hobby" :fu

 

Ok...I think I just have to mention...I really don't think that that is the extent of Assembelr's collection...

Looks to me a lot more like his booty from the Acclaim sale...and he's sold a whole lot of that off if I understand correctly. I mean....several of you bought test PS2s...and even more of us got debug PS1s...and those GBOXes have been up on eBay...

I don't think he just keeps a pile of dev consoles on his couch.

He probably keeps at least one of everything of interest to him...which probably means he has a HELL of a lot more than what is there. At the very least, he probably has a significant collection of games...games to go with most every mainstream console released in North America with the exception of a few... (I can't see him sitting around playing Atari 2600...but who knows!)

Remember folks...he did own a lot of the things on the roarvgm page...Marty, ineresting clones, an assload of different devkits...

I still want to see what he has in its entirity...if that's possible.

There's not one single bad comment against this forum in that thread, not one.

Only lack of interest in Assemblers goods in those pics. That is why people interested in that are here, and neo geo fans there. Simple.

 

I don't think that they eventhink that devkits are unintersting, but they think he's sitting on a pile of hundreds of them...when that picture is just his Acclaim booty. Still, it's not nice to shit all over everything...

For every intelligent post saying, "Hey, he won them at the acclaim auction and probably isn't keeping them." or "Hey, he spends assloads on dev stuff, we do the same with neo stuff" theres another that says "This is total shitfucking shit, I wouldn't want any of that shitty ass shit anyway because i have a cousin who works for nintendo and shit and can get me that shit for a shitting dollar and shit."

I don't think anybody thinks that neo-geo.com is all bad (I'm around there a good bit myself) but some of those people were being nasty for no reason.

 

Oh yeah, that's them alright. That's why I only lurk and buy and sell some stuff there.

Whoa whoa folks, let's just let it drop again here. We don't need to see another cross forum bashing session, do we?

Obviously there are those at NG.com that feel the need to trash collections, but you know that those same people lurk everywhere. You've had a polar opposite member here saying you should have a forum devoted to strict discussion where you have to have a massively thoughtful reply in the thread to participate.

I've posted in the thread there to try to stem the tide as I think both sites have their strengths, but don't start with the name calling because it'll only get uglier.
