As an FYI, if you want to get those cart labels off quickly, easily, and cleanly, simply pour a little isopropyl in a zipper bag, place the shell in it facing down, seal bag, and within about 10-30 minutes (dye sub labels take some more time) the labels will all but fall off on their own.
Thanks. I'm afraid I no longer have the original art work. I could scan my print but that wouldn't look so good.
has anyone tried to contact the seller? I can't get him to respond to any of my messages since a week.
Oh. Sometimes dealing with China can be a pain. See if there are any other sellers. Actually, what games do you want. I have a load of PCBs with official SFC cart shells that I'm selling.
I know, I've been using Aliexpress for quite a while now, but these guys are totally helpless send me a list of what you've got through a PM, I'll have a look I'm only interested in sfc though
I think it's always a good idea to make sure it's listed as a reproduction on the box and game. Some like *Reproduction or *Fan Translation.
Not trying to be mean but what a waste. I am dissapointed in you, Yakumo. You destroy japanese games and insert a cheap, 2 day lasting chinese pcb?
Thank you. You see, shitty common sports games are what you in the west would destroy while in Japan stuff like columns, Puyo Puyo and so on are our equivalent . To you they may be cool but to us they are worthless crap that can be bought for less than a can on coke. These games have no value. To give you an idea, I bought a box of 20 MD games for 500 yen just for the cases and cartridge shells! That's less than a meal at McDonald's. That's how worthless these games are in Japan. So you need not be dissapointed at all. These games are junk over here. Not that they are bad games, some are good but they are as common as bird crap on a statue As for the longevity of the PCBs i order, well they have lasted for 3 years so far, the first ones I bought.
I dont care for their value, all old games, especially pre-xbox / playstation era, are equally as valuable to me. Even if they are crap sports. Just cause they are shit doesnt mean you gotta break them. They are old and will get progressively more hard to find if everyone just keeps breaking them or swapping them out cause theyre shit.
But Yakumo isn't you. The carts have been dumped anyway, there's so many sport titles in bargain bins in Japan - think you've underestimated how many of these were made. As much as reproductions are not my thing, and using donor pieces. It's not like there's many in personal collections already.
I was hoping for a good guide to the actual programming and making of the pcb and such parts like that of a reproduction cart.....this will also be useful tho for such a thing thanks for sharing your knowledge
Here are labels I created. I like the look of the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection background that the Chinese sellers use as the 112-in-1 multicart and Everdrive labels, but those look a bit crap so I wanted to make something better. Also I put a US Killer Instinct board inside a SFC cart so I don't need a converter to play on my SFC, so I made a label for that.
