Even if you aren't a fan you gotta admit that is the best cel shading ever

By the time you finish watching the Trailer, work on the 1st revision will have already begun. Before the game is even finished.

Still all joking aside, NEW GUILTY GEAR!

makes sense, although being unreal engine it should be easily portable to anything going.

looks cool and all, but with this and KoF going 3D, its finally the end of high-res 2D fighters. RIP.

There's still BlazBlue using sprites. and a 3D kof isn't going to fly!

ah there you go again, but I already knew you don't like Guilty Gear/Blazblue/Examu fighters.

YEAH...KOF MI.... it's OK but it's not KOF.At least not the KOF I love.

As much as I hate Naruto. The Gamecube games look pretty good for what they were, newer Naruto games are even closer to "Cartoon than those. I'm no Naruto fan but I do enjoy the games.

Looking forward to this game though. Remember in it's earliest concepts Guilty Gear was a 3d game on a 2d Plane before they chose sprites. So it's Full Circle for them.

Yeah, KoF: MI isn't really a KoF game, that's why it's a spin-off and not a part of the main series. Still, I don't see why a 3D cel-shaded KoF wouldn't work. At least they could have a combo with more than like 5 frames of animation like in that trailer.

I thought that was Blazblue? But now that you mention it I think I did read that somewhere. If SNK can do that I'm all for it as sprite work is time consuming.

Normally I'd say OH Oldman 7force is at it again. but you aren't the only person to say this. I personally didn't see anything wrong with that trailer.

Not one for the GG or BB series but that is looking quite impressive.

Looks amazing IMO. Sure it's not super fluid. But I think that makes it look stylish!

For years now, I've been saying the secret to making 3D cel animation look 2D is to imitate the choppy animation of 2D. Looks like someone finally thought of the same idea! It's sad that the game isn't using real 2D sprites, the Guilty Gear series always had such beautiful animation. The music looks like it will still kick-ass, so that's good!

    Re: choppy animation

Have you played previous GGX games? I can't notice a difference... You know canceling frames of animation to start another move is a feature in fighting games, not a bug, right? The intro looks fluid.

If you want to see goofy 3D animation, try Battle Fantasia...
