I just wanted to say how much I love this game. I got it mainly for L.A. Machineguns, so that's mainly what I'll talk about. It's a Model 3 port, so that's partly why I'm interested in it. But it's an incredibly fun game. Very fast-paced and mildly challenging, but overall very fun. It works really well with the Wiimote, and it plays pretty much like the arcade game. This game had really good graphics for its time (1998). Not sure if this was before or after the Japanese release of the Dreamcast, but very close at any rate. For those who say the Dreamcast was graphically superior to the Model 3, feast your eyes on this game. I really doubt this game could run at 60fps on the DC as it does on the Model 3. There are just so many objects on screen. Overall L.A. Machineguns seems like a very accurate port, but one thing that I think may be different about the Wii version is that some objects are reflective, whereas I don't think there were any reflections in the arcade game. If anything that's an improvement, though. I'm not positive as to whether this is different or not as I don't have the arcade game handy to compare. Gunblade NY is really fun as well. I haven't played it as much so I can't say much about it, but it seems pretty accurate to the arcade. I've played this game before and it's basically the same idea/format as L.A. Machineguns. I just thought I'd mention this game because I don't think many people are aware that it exists, and it's really a gem. Certainly I don't think Sega should limit themselves to ports of old games, but there are so many great Sega arcade games that never got console ports, that I think they could do this a lot more.
Has this only recently been released? I remember reading about this Wii port many years ago when I still had a Wii. Yakumo
This was also a surprise to me and a nice addition to my collection. Although it gets fairly repetitive and reminds me of Vitrua Cop series graphics-wise, I just wish there were more compilations of these... Think of an updated VC compilation INCLUDING 3, Maze of the Kings, The Lost World and maybe HotD 1 alongside Nr 4? How about it Sega? Alas, the Wii support has been comatose for a while now already, and I'm happy to hear the PSN at least gets to see HotD 4 so my friend can grab it for me
