This version is about 2 months old and didn't get much attention so I am posting it here for others to beta test. It is not finished, but it is mostly there. There are a few glitches here and there and some slowdown, but in future releases it should be more stable. My friend Dreammatrix ported this over. He is the guy that worked with Override on all the previous HLDC mods like Paranoia, and he also did They Hunger as well as worked on CSDC. Gunman: Chronicles was an exclusive PC game made in the Goldsource engine. This is the only time it has been ported to a console. The readme can be found below. It is a Gunman Chronicles port for Sega Dreamcast console through the leaked halflife. It is not a perfect version, it still have a lot of bugs but is much better than the older version, it has full speed and now it is stable Changes between the last version: New ip.bin and executable Added a wince folder with new dlls Added full motion video support Added the gunman intro video Fixed levels on Mayan episode and rust episode Added more save points Fixed some weapons animations and sounds Compressed more models Added dummy file and data structure optimization Added the boss enemy Only the first three episodes are available, if you want play more get the pc version! https://firedrop.com/c3ae7670ba3136a1
Yeah I am a huge fan of these mods. I was the one that backed them all up to TIZ mostly. If I didn't do that over the years many of them would be long gone by now. I even back them all up on my secondary 1tb hdd now so I don't loose them to future generations. I suggest trying out They Hunger, Paranoia and U.S.S. Darkstar for Dreamcast, you can find them on Google. I can't link the site here. Those 3 mods are fully working as stand alone games, with saves implemented as well. I think it is time for me to learn how to port singleplayer PC mods over myself, as there are so many great mods we could have on the system. If anybody knows any good singleplayer WW2 mods for Half-Life please let me know, it has been a dream of mine to port one to the system since we never really got many WW2 games on the Dreamcast. Better yet, what about a Halo mod with assets from Halo 1 used?
Some games have a billion guns that claim to offer you endless variety, but don't. Gunman had just a handful of weapons, and yet, it had more variety than all those other games with their billions of weapons and crafting systems put together.
