http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/cubes/5.jpg I'll see you guys on the other side when this thing creates a black hole that sucks up the whole earth! On a more serious note, I wonder if they'll be successful with this thing?
I really hope so. But if this guy is involved, then chances are that a portal to another world will be opened.
I cracked a beer in honor of our imminent doom. This is pretty exciting, despite all of the naysayers and their fear of the Earth being swallowed.
That thing looks like a time portal opener! Or something out of Star Trek. "Commander Riker, set the course at Warp 5."
That picture is excellent  Good idea on the crowbars... better buy one myself too, and get ready to kick some headcrabs :110:
They say that this will help us better understand exactly what dark matter is, among other things, which will be interesting considering we've never really known anything about it. I've always wondered if the shit even was what physicists even predict. All the evidence we have is through warped light, and yet we've managed to make entire maps, plotting where dark matter is in out universe.
hadrons ... hardons , who knows what will happen. If the world goes under tomorrow, then I am going to have fun.
Too bad we won't be ready for it. If we were ready for it, we could go out and loot, smash some police car and be rowdy. Hardon collider, that's pretty funny.
I wouldn't worry too much. Even if they do create microscopic black holes, they say that they'll dissipate in nanoseconds. They're not "real" black holes, i.e. those created by a collasped neutron star. Any of you guys ever hear about John Titor? He was a supposed time traveler who posted in various boards in 2000, said his time machine was powered by minature black holes. http://www.johntitor.com/
