Not really. Game stores that got 'em (mostly) gave them out for free, since no one would buy one w/o the game. Though some jokers on eBay think it's rare enough spending $20 on. :smt009 If you look around (i.e. message boards, or even old game shops) you can prob. get one for cheap, or even nothing.
Got one from Amazon the other week for about $9 including shipping. People do regularly buy them for $30 to as high as $50 on eBay sometimes.
YOu must have gotten lucky. I always see them going for 30 or more. I've been checking Amazont too. :smt009
Does the official one have the passwords/cheat codes? I suspect it does, but I was wondering if the "Exclusive" guide I got in that old copy of Gamepro is of any use :-D .
Yep, it has all the passcodes for the levels, but there seems to be no all-weapon cheats or anything - but for that, the usual Half-Life console cheats apply, provided you have a US keyboard. P.S. The version command doesn't seem to work on the DC version, for anyone who read the other topic on HLC versions.
I finally found one. :-D I love Froogle. I've found all my cheap Dreamcast game stuff on there recently for less than ebay.
thanks for the froogle tip :smt045, I also orderd one for myself. Normally I don't buy guides but this is different hehe
It's a great guide and worth having in your collection - rare or not. I bought mine a year ago brand new for $9 (including shipping), off Amazon's A to Z Marketplace. The seller was just some mom and pop bookstore that new nothing about video games or in particular, the story behind the stategy guide. I still wonder who screwed up and forgot to tell the publisher the game was cancelled. "You printed and shipped 500,000 copies? Oops! My bad!"
