Anyone else doing a Jack o' Lantern for Halloween?

I was sat there at 8am with my hands inside this manky sodding thing scraping it's guts out. My little girl who's 3 decided it was ikky and wasn't having any of it. My 5 year old boy had his hands in there helping, but spent the entire time moaning about gooey and slimy it was. The kids sat there and designed the face this afternoon and I've just finished carving it out.

Yeah, I know it's not the greatest in the world, but the kids are happy and it's kept them busy for a few hours.

    Thats very cool mate.

I am terrible with things like this. Last time I tried to do one I sliced my finger open. lol

Nitro (Donny) from the forum did an excellent one last year using a stencil which is on his blog - http://don.komarechka.com/?s=pumpkin (Along with all his cool photo's)

I can't stand the smell of the inside of pumpkins. However, I do like doing dumb creative things, so it just depends on my mood.

Haven't even attempted to locate such a thing this year, looks like no Jack-o-lanterns for I.

Totally unusual for Germany, never did one. We have a small Hokkaido pumpkin here, though, maybe I will try to carve something in it tomorrow.

Heya Kiff, thanks for linking to my pumpkin from last year! This years was pretty good too, but not to the same caliber. Hope to have a picture up in the next few days, just so busy right now.

Great pumpkins from everyone else, Halloween is definitely one of my favourite days :)
