Halo 3 Beta Program

I signed up. Theres no indication of how it's going to work for who gets picked but I'd bet they'd take everything they can get their hands on. Free testing=less money for them and more bugs found.

 

I bet you'll have to download it, and they send it in the form episodic content, like one level/world at once.

 

well i put my name in the hat but i dont' think M$ likes me much. I worked for them for one day and got fired the same day.

 

If they fired you on the same day, I think there's more to the story than them just not liking you...

 

I didn't care too much about Halo or Halo 2, but I registered. Playing it in the beta might be the only time I ever play Halo 3.

 

Usually beta tests just present you with a map or two with all components of the game ready to hand (weapons, vehicles etc) and you stress test the code. I doubt much of the game will be available to commoners like you and I!

 

Well ya, it's a multiplayer beta. Not a beta of the whole game. They'll be a few levels and game modes that they want people to play to test it and iron it all out. The thing is multiplayer is the biggest thing for me in these games ussually.

Is the main market for halo.

After all, the whole military/macho thing from the game isnt trendy everywhere...

 

Most geeks love macho military themes. The XBox made its money in the USA though, I guess.

 

Ironic indeed, cuz is the macho military guys who bully the geeks around in school...

Anyway, Halo isnt that semper fi as other games, it has a saving private ryan approach to war, mixed with the thin red line, but not that much...

It's not US only, European gamers are being redirected to some other sites who will be holding some sort of lottery from what I've read.

wonder how they'll notify ppl, my gamertag is on an email i cant even check anymore, when i asked MS about switching my gamertag to a different passport they said theres no easy way of doing it, kinda sucks

 

The US signup asked for your phone number and email.
I didn't use the email address that was attached to my gamertag, and it still accepted it, so I guess you could have put it any contact email address.
